Batman Issue 4

Just finished #3 and I am so blown away by the quality of these comics! The Court of Owls is chilling. The writing, the art, all of it is just right. Snyder knows how to handle everything from Batcave tech to the wisdom of Alfred Pennyworth. Can’t wait for #4.

Animal Man #1
I know I’m behind on this one, but I finally got my hands on Animal Man #1 and it has to be my favorite of the New 52. I can’t imagine what it would be like to have the monumental task of making Animal Man such a relevant and all-around-impressive character, but they pulled it off.
Based on the buzz, Aquaman #1 was similarly successful and I can’t wait to get a hold of an issue. I love my local comic shop, but they sell out in the blink of an eye, and it’s left me a bit behind. Not that anyone is waiting with baited breath for my comic reviews.
Speaking of my little reviews, there are some titles that I actually refused to review because of how offensive or terrible they were. For example, if I were to opine, Red Hood and the Outlaws would be best used to start a fire or line a bird cage. While I appreciated the artwork, I found the book tasteless and morally reprehensible. I’m mostly interested in sharing my thoughts on the issues that really stood out to me.

Flash #1
I’m excited to get to know the world of Barry Allen. I admit that I know very little about The Flash, and this seems like a pretty good place to get started. The writing felt strong, and the art was great. Nice cliffhanger at the end. I’ll definitely be keeping up with Flash (figuratively speaking, of course).
